Mika's New Life is a one-shot written by Gamewizard2008, one of the Firstborn Prequels that introduces Mikaela Corella to his series. The story is told from the 1st-person view of 12-year-old Mikaela Corella, describing how she came to be on New Island with Mewtwo. When she was 6 years old, she went on a cruise with her parents, and the cruise ship was suddenly attacked by the Flying Dutchman and the Kraken. The Kraken caught Mika's dad as the ship was destroyed. Mika fell into the water and climbed up the side of the Flying Dutchman to see her mother killed by Davy Jones. Mika faints and falls into the sea, waking up to find herself on New Island. She walks up to the castle and uses her psychic powers to open the large front doors. Inside, she meets Mewtwo, who explains the dangers of being a psychicbender. He offers to let her stay at his castle and train her.
