Marx
Marx (originally from Kirby Superstar) is a young Nightmare child that is Magolor's younger, more playful brother. He works with his brother and Meta Knight aboard the Halberd. Most of the time, Marx bounces around on a little ball, and looks rather harmless.
Firstborn Saga[]
In Legend of the Eight Firstborn, he accompanies the main heroes during the Galactic Saga. He is later revealed to be plotting against Meta Knight and the others, alongside his brother, Magolor. When Magolor becomes super-powered, he shares some of his power with Marx, turning him super as well. However, during the battle that followed, Marx was easily killed by Death's Head's plasma rifle.

Marx Soul
When the universe is destroyed near the end of the story, scattering all realms within Time and Space, Marx's body is shown to have survived the attack, but was lifeless. Upon impact of Jirachi's Spirit Ball, Marx was revived by the darkness which had consumed his brother beforehand, and became Marx Soul. Marx Soul is one of many bosses battled during The Scattered Realms, and is fought by Dimentia and Kirby to get Jirachi back. Dimentia defeats him by forming a black hole between his halves, splitting him in half and exploding his parts.
Appearance[]
Marx is a pink-skinned Nightmare that wears red shoes and has a little red bowtie. He wears a jester hat with two points: the right point is blue and the left is red, and there are little white puffballs on their tips.
When he is super-powered, Marx gains golden wings made of little, colorful hexagons. When he becomes Marx Soul, his skin turns purple, his puffballs are spiky, he gets sharp teeth, and his tongue is longer.
Personality[]
Marx is a cheerful, spirited child who loves to bounce on his ball. When he is empowered, however, Marx becomes a lot more crazy and sadistic, though maintains his cheerful personality. When he becomes Marx Soul, he loses all humanity (metaphorically) completely, and is solely focused on killing his enemies.
Powers[]
After Marx is powered by his brother, he gains the ability to fly and warp across space at will. He can drop cactuc plants and make them grow under his enemies, and he can launch boomerangs from his wings. If Marx is eaten by Kirby, he is able to possess Kirby and use his inhaling powers, but if he is beaten around enough, he will be forced out like any other Kirby ability.
